Step 1 Setting Up for Installation Before you can begin installing Windows XP for Mac, you should configure your computer. To do this, log in as administrator and run the Boot Camp Assistant by clicking on Finder, Application and then Utilities Folder.

Look for the Windows Partition button and click the Create or Remove option. Hit the Continue button and then decide how much disk size you want in your Windows Partition.

Hit enter and either click FAT or NTFS when queried for File System in the next step. Step 3 Installing the Drivers Once Windows XP installation is complete, eject the installation disc and then insert the Mac OS X disc.

Follow the onscreen instructions to begin installing all the essential device drivers in your computer. Once this is done, reboot the computer and check under Device Drivers if there are any missing drivers.
